Profile of Highly Celebrated Gospel Artiste Elvis Nso-yine

Elvis Nso-yine is a renowned Gospel Artiste who have his roots in Tindonmolgo-Bolgatanga, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Born into a family of Christian faith, his father, Rev. Mark Nso-yine was a pastor and Elvis grew up learning to participate in church activities and study the word of God. As a child, his natural singing talent was evident and everyone around him was marveled by his voice.

Elvis is married and blessed with three lovely children.

He attended St. Clement’s School for his primary education and then moved on to Anglican School, Bolgatanga for his Junior High Education. For his High School Education, he attended Bawku Senior High School and was elected as the school’s choir leader. He led the school to win several music competitions.
After completing his High School Education, Elvis pursued a degree in computerized accounting at Kumasi Technical University and later studied theology at Baptist University in Kumasi, affiliated to the University of Cape Coast both in Ghana. He worked as a Public Relations Officer for the NHIS for one of the districts in Ashanti for almost ten years before moving to the United Kingdom to be with his family.

Elvis has received several awards for his contribution to Gospel music including the Ghana Golden Excellence Awards’ Gospel Artist of the Year 2022, Premier Awards’ Gospel Song of the Year and Album of the Year 2022 and Upper East Music Awards’ Male Vocalist and Album of the Year 2022. He also received some citations from RadioA1 and Tanga Radio Bolgatanga for his contribution in the media and entertainment space throught his music.

The “Makatarimina” crooner has featured in interviews and performances on various media platforms across the country including Max Empire TV, NTV Tamale, A1radio-Bolgatanga, Word Fm-Zuarungu, Dreamz Fm-Bolga Soe, and Zebs Fm-Zebila.

He has released four albums over the past twenty-two years in the industry. These including “Makatarimina,” “Selakalebona,” “Tooma Tooma,” and “Hum De Tufaara.”

Aside music, Elvis has a philanthropic heart and has set up a foundation called “Support the Widow.” Through this initiative, he collaborates with institutions and organizations to provide basic life needs and skills to widows in rural settings in Ghana.
