Profile of Rita Adomolga, The 2022 HMB-Upper East Gospel Artiste of The Year

Rita Adomolga was born in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana but grew up in the Southern part of Ghana. The nature of her father’s work was consequential in her parents move to Accra where she grew up. She is the second child of four (4) children. She had her pre-secondary school education in Accra but returned to her homeland to attend Bolgatanga Girls Secondary School. Rita Adomolga can express herself in six different languages.

Although the occupations of Rita’s parents were not music related, She developed interest for music at a very tender age. She thereof practiced and has become a good singer and a songwriter.

Fueling a career of this nature has not always been uncomplicated however, Rita overcame the odds to release many songs. Her first Album was released in 2013 titled GIVE HIM THE PRAISE.
She has released two singles which are of remarkable quality; “Ahene Mu Hene” in 2020 and “Tumbero Bye Bye” in 2022.

“Tumbero Bye Bye” is a beautiful song properly crafted to suit the listening pleasure of every person which also features celebrated Ghanaian Gospel musician, Obaapa Christy whose delivery in Twi compliments Rita’s Frafra. The official music video of this particular song is always appreciated by viewers at first sight. It portrays a beautiful blend of rich culture and fashion. This first-rate video directed by Skyweb, won the 2022 HMB-UEMA Best Video of The Year. On 19th August 2022, this talked about music video rose to TV Africa’s Top 10 Trending Release.

Tumbero Bye Bye by Rita Adomolga

Rita has three (3) awards to her credit and God’s Glory. She won the 2022 Emerging Music Awards in Accra as the International Artiste of the Year.
She also won two (2) awards from the 2022 HMB-Upper East Music Awards as the Best Video of the Year and the overall Gospel Artiste of the Year.
Rita moved to the United States of America in 2002 where she lives now and she is married but comes home anytime the need be.
