Based on our previous article titled “Northern Gospel Artiste Must Take Social Media Serious“, Northpraise did a search through Facebook pages of some gospel artiste/ministers. Some renowned names didn’t even own pages on Facebook.
We present to you the top 10 pages on Facebook with the highest number of followers. These are pages Northpraise could reach.
This search was done on 12th May, 2022.
- Min. Ruth Awuni.
The Northeast songstress has 1,648 (1.6k) followers on her Facebook page, Min Ruth. She is the current northeast gospel artist of the year.
- Min. Felicia Awane
Feli Ministries on Facebook is the official page of Felicia. This page has 1,651(1.6k) followers. This lady produced many worship videos and covers which boosted her Facebook page’s followers
- Elvis Nso-yine
Elvis Nso-yine Ministries is the page of singer Elvis Nso-yine. Though it’s surprising to realize the number of Facebook users following this page, It can be attributed to the fact that the page has not been long. His page was created just in 2020. Elvis has 2,088 (2k) followers.
- Florence Adooni
Florence is a northerner and has produced a lot of Frafra hits song but she is currently based in Southern Ghana.
Her absence here contributes to the low numbers of Facebook followers. Florence Adooni has 2,271 (2.2k)followers.

From Zebilla in the upper east region but lives in Accra, Gifty’s page Gifty Akutek Ministries on Facebook has 3,138 (3.1k) followers. The consistent air play of her “gurima” track help her in doing better on Facebook than other artists in terms of followers. She is one of the artists from the north whose songs have been played on many TV stations.

She captured the hearts of upper east Gospel music lovers with her “Ndaana tomtema” song which was in her first album released in the early 2000s. Edwina Boayerik has 3,232 (3.2k) followers on her Facebook page. She is still doing well in the region.

Obed Awelinga goes with the Stage name Obed Psych. It’s this same name he use for his Facebook page. Obed is the lead singer of Ghana’s award winning gospel rap group PREACHERS. Obed is still a member of Preachers but make music alone sometimes to reveal his northern identity. He mostly raps in kusaal when doing his own songs. Obed Psych is from Zebilla in the upper east region. His fame with the preachers has given him the lift regarding Facebook patronage. Obed has 3,959 (3.9k) followers on facebook.

She has the stage name Jemda. Her Facebook page bears that name too. Jemda lives in Tamale. With 5,256 followers on Facebook, Jemda is in the third position. She had series of worship sessions on Facebook and the broadcast fetched her a reasonable number of followers.

This is a young minister in Tamale. Originally, he’s from Kanjaga in the upper east region. He is in second place with 5,489 (5.4k) followers on Facebook. The page on Facebook is Minister Justein Tehilah. He is very consistent on Facebook.

In first position is Evangelist Yidana Solomon with 18,104 (18.1k) followers. This man is the owner of favour studio.
He acquired this huge number of followers through his numerous release of his recorded renditions of typical older northern songs. He shot videos of these songs in his studio which got all northern music lover attracted to him so had to follow him.
