The Ghanaian gospel singer from the Northern Region Ezekiel Napari is set to tickle our cochlea with yet another gospel reggae track “Tampiŋ”.
The song in Anticipation features another gospel sensation Wumbei Mahamadu. These two singers in recent times have become beacons of Dagbani Gospel Music; releasing songs in the language.
“Tampiŋ” which means “Solid Rock” is a song that comes from Matthew 16:18 ( And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”). Explaining the inspiration behind the song, Ezekiel Napari revealed that it was the 2023 theme for his church, Moglaa Int’l Baptist Church.
He added that, “The song comes to remind God’s people that our bodies are the temples of God as far as we’ve taken Christ as our Lord and personal saviour; God dwells in us eternally” .
Dissecting Matthew 16:18,it becomes heart-calming to note that no matter the storm, pain and rain, nothing can happen to you aprospos of you being the rock of God.
This song will be released on Sunday, 28th January 2024 at 12pm. Audio will be available on the website for your pick. Stay glue to Northpraise.
