It seemed far-to-reach when Jemda announced on social media on 9th November 2023 of her intent to release her 3rd music album. The news came without full details of the project and as well as the event but as we have less than two (2) months to the event, there are now comprehensive details to the launch.
The Album is titled ‘Yɛda Album’, slated to go down at the Sanctuary of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God Church, Tamale on the 3rd of March 2024 at 5:30pm prompt. The album contains eighth original songs written and sang by the minister.
Invitations have been entended to the following to minister that evening. They are; Dinah Hammond – an Accra based Gospel singer, Mbie Ziblim – a Tamale-based gospel singer and a media personality. Now the manager of Sagani TV in Tamale, Ezekiel Napari – The Man of the moment in the Dagbani Gospel Music space and another Tamale-based singer Wisdom Eyram. Other ministers that will be on the program includes Minister Erd (an afro/urban gospel minister in Tamale), Moindib Fant of Tamale and other groups.
This event is a free event and demands no gate fee.
A Bit About Jemda’s Music Career
The Gospel minister with the real name Jemima Kpelly became notable in the Ghana Music industry in 2018 with her outstanding single “Yisa Neeya” which produced a lot of nominations for awards.
The minister released her first album in 2012 titled “Suhumiya” and her second album in 2015 which was titled “Asimdi Jembo”, both, eight-track albums. It means that, the release of her 3rd album marks 12 years of Jemda’s entry into the music ministry.
The 2019 Northern Ghana Entertainment Awards Gospel Artiste of The Year was in partial hibernation (as she was furthering her education) until she released “Piimi Din Viella” on 22nd September this year.
The Yisa Neeya hit maker is set to release an album in 5 months (3rd March 2024). Northpraise believes this will be a life changing album per the amount of time invested in the composer and production. It’s one of the albums you will not want to step over.
Jemda has a track record of good production and quality videos and this album will not be an exception.
