2AJ Records/Production is a Kumasi-based gospel record label that is committed to nurturing young gospel singers and bringing them to the limelight. They have developed notable talents like Odehyieba Priscilla, Pentecost Joshua, Osei Blessing and many others. Aside that, they assumed an Evangelical mission by organizing street worships, SHS tours and market praise to capture the minds and hearts of people to Christ through the melodic voice of the singers under their label and in a latent function, exposing their signees.
As part of their street and market Praise, 2AJ production organized “LIFTED PRAISE” in Tamale, the Northern Region of Ghana. This was organized in collaboration with Micky On Events, an event orgazing firm in Tamale. The program featured faces of 2AJ Production from the south and other Tamale based Gospel singer like Minister Eunice Anaba Nkegbe, Minister Ferdinand, Anointed Minister and so on. The program was dissociated into 2 phases: Street worships which took place on Friday, 1st November 2024 at the Tamale Taxi Rank inside the central market and the LIFTED PRAISE itself on Sunday, 3rd November 2024 inside the ICGC Kingdom Temple in Tamale.
Though the programs came to pass but the 2AJ crew has expressed their disappointment in some Unconventional, chaotic and dramatic incidents they faced throughout the two-phased program. In a video commentary (via Lio Tv gh on YouTube), the team members of 2AJ lamented of how the CEO, Joseph Asamoah Asiamah, had released gigantic sums of money for the co-organizers to secure all necessary logistics before they came but upon their arrival, they meet a bizarre occurrences. They recounted how they got stranded at the lorry station because hotel reservations were not made. They mentioned the squandering of Ghc3000+ that was given to someone to do radio promotion. The had to rent gadgets for sound all over again. They stated that after facing these challenges and working to overcome them, they were asked the stop the program at 6:00pm by the chief Imam, even though they started around 5:30pm.
They apportioned blame on the co-organizer and the Islamic-dominant nature of Tamale. They spoke about misappropriation of a sum of Ghc35,000.
That notwithstanding, the CEO of 2AJ Production Joseph Asamoah Asiamah still cooked and shared food. He also shared clothes, bibles and Monies to the needy on the street of Tamale.
