One of Ghana’s biggest Urban Gospel Artiste, Wisdom Konlaa, has risen to the occasion to unwrap a single track that will be appropriate to the Christmas season.
‘Shikenan’ (Emmanuel), is an Afro-pop Urban Gospel song which has been carefully carved out from an amalgamation of English and Hausa languages. The title literally means “That’s Him”.
Isaiah prophesied about the birth of our savior; “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of peace…” (Isaiah 9:6). This prophecy was fulfilled after the Angel visited Mary and spake to her, that she conceived of the Holy Spirit and gave birth to Emmanuel. This forms the framework of Wisdom’s Song.
