Gospel Music Minister Wisdom Eyram Has Passed On. His Contributions To Northern Gospel Music Cannot Be Forgotten

The demise of Spirit-filled Gospel Sensation Wisdom Eyram hit social media in the mid-hours of Sunday, 12th January 2025. No one could behold this news as a fact about someone who made a post on Facebook three days ago. Many of Wisdom’s close associates who couldn’t tranquil their emotional explosion took to various social media platforms to express their shock about the unfortunate incident.

Wisdom Eyram, who was affectionately called ‘Osofo’ for the sake of his pastoral traits, was supportive to Northern Ghana Gospel and its musicians in myriad ways. Though not a Northerner, he was a unifying force, hard working, loved and supported every course if only it concerned gospel music.

BRIEF LIFE HISTORY OF WISDOM EYRAM

Wisdom Eyram hails from Big Ada in the Ada East of Greater Accra but he spent his most impactful part of his life in Tamale schooling and working.

Osofo Wisdom attended Tamale Presbyterian School and completed in 2012 and proceed to Tamale College of Education in 2016. After successful graduation, Wisdom worked with the Ghana Education Service as a Teacher in the Ishadia E/A Junior High School in Karaga District of the Northern Region of Ghana until his untimely passing away.

MINISTRY WHILE IN TAMALE

while in Tamale, Minister Wisdom fellowshiped with the Evangelical Church of Ghana, Tamale and was an active member. He used his gift to the fullest. He wasn’t just a singer but was sometimes observed on drums.

Osofo Wisdom honored programs in Tamale and outside the Northern Region. He loved all his colleague ministers and discriminated against none and his Facebook wall is a testament to that. He closely work with Jemda, whom he adopted as his mother, Kelly Keyz, Justein Tehilah, Andy Gospelz, Josiah Napari and many others. Aside personal ministry, he was a member of Essence of The Psalmist in Tamale.

LAST MOMENTS

Wisdom Eyram was invited to a program at the Emmanuel Chapel of the Evangelical Church of Ghana in Bomso Sisakyire, a town 10km away from central township of Kumasi, on the 29th December 2024. He honored the program and fell ill after the program. He showed quick signs of recovery after he was being treated but unfortunately, he gave his last breath on the early hours of 12th January 2025 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Hospital in Kumasi. The cause of his death is still undiscovered.
